Morpholine is a colorless oily liquid with strong moisture absorption and strong basicity. It is soluble in organic solvents and insoluble in strong basic solution. The specific gravity is 0.9994, the melting point is -4.9 Celsius degree and the boiling point is 128 Celsius degree. It can be dissolved with water. It is intermediate for producing many kinds of chemicals. It is mainly used in producing rubber accelerator, moroxydine, ibuprofen and promolate. It is widely used in paint, pesticide, whitener and solvents and used in producing N-metylymorpholine and N-ethylmorpholine.
